Addyson's Writing Team - June 2026

Write to Addyson.

Age: 30-something
Requested by: Self
Location: Michigan, USA
Issue: Grief

What’s going on? I just lost my mom in a freak accident at the age of 59. She was my best friend. We lost my grandmother two years ago also in a freak accident. I am now the only woman in my family with my young daughter and I feel very alone and discouraged without my support system to lean on. I’m devastated and could just use some love.

What do you love most about this girl? I realize most people don’t nominate themselves but I’m pretty much all I’ve got left. I think if you’d have asked my mom she would tell you how funny I was, and that I got that from her. That I am smart and patient and a dedicated mother. And I’d tell you I got that from her.

P.S. Just that I appreciate your consideration and that such a thing exists.

Aneli's Writing Team - June 2026

Write to Aneli.

Age: 30-something
Requested by: Cousin
Location: California, USA
Issue: Self-Confidence

What’s going on? Aneli is 31 and has navigated immense loss. She grew up never knowing her father, and in 2019, she lost her mom to an opioid overdose after years of watching addiction slowly take her away. Her mom, once a kind and silly teacher who lit up every room, became addicted to pain medication following a car accident and progressively deteriorated. Aneli moved from Palm Desert to San Diego trying to build a better life for herself, but carries guilt about not being there when her mom passed, even though she'd tried everything to help her through multiple rehab attempts. Now without either parent, she struggles with depression and tends to isolate herself, sometimes going months without reaching out to family who desperately want to support her.

What do you love most about this girl? Aneli has the most wonderful loud laugh and inherited her mom's silly, joyful spirit from before the addiction took hold. Despite everything she's been through, she has the most generous heart. She's always thinking of others and buying them thoughtful gifts, even when she's struggling herself. She's incredibly resilient and sweet, and beneath her closed-off exterior is someone who deserves to know just how loved and valued she is.

P.S. Aneli grew up without much guidance or stability, which I think has left her lacking confidence in herself, even though she's accomplished so much by breaking the cycle and building her own life. She doesn't ask for help and tries to navigate everything alone, but she deserves to know she doesn't have to. Our whole family (I'm her older cousin, and she grew up almost like a little sister to me and my siblings) wants her to feel the love and support that surrounds her. I think receiving letters reminding her of her worth, her strength, and that people are thinking of her would mean the world to someone who gives so much to others but rarely lets herself receive.

Alee's Writing Team - June 2026

Write to Alee.

Age: Teenager (16-20)
Requested by: Anonymous family member
Location: Utah, USA
Issue: Family Situation

What’s going on? Alee is very sweet and loves to talk. When she is having a hard time I think she keeps it inside and handles it all alone because my parents are not good with emotions. They are also not good with communicating and I think this often makes her feel alone. It can be pretty hard to live in that house because no one talks about hard things, emotions get avoided, so it’s lonely.

What do you love most about this girl? She loves unique fashion and creating different outfits for school. She is super good at making friends. Lots of people find her funny, cute, and quirky. She is very very brave with the clothes she wears to school and is wholeheartedly herself.

P.S. Please have messages that are more focused on advice and love rather than religion/God!

Judy's Writing Team - June 2026

Write to Judy.

Age: 50-something
Requested by: Daughter
Location: Maryland, USA
Issue: Grief

What’s going on? Unexpected loss of her mother (my grandmother) right before the holidays. It has been incredibly difficult. We are close and I live a few hours away now (where before it was 5 minutes). I know she is lonely and grieving. She is also taking care of my father after surgery which happened right before christmas so I feel that she has not given herself nor had the time to process the loss and allow her emotion. I want to send her love and support and reminders that she has the strength to endure. She is loved and cherished and deserves happiness in this time.

What do you love most about this girl? My mother is strong, empathetic, caring, selfless, and humorous. She gives all that she has to help others and loves her family more than anything. She is selfless and gives and expects nothing in return. She is so special and a true light in the world and in the lives of all who know her

P.S. In your letters, please focus on love, gratitude, and kindness. Making sure her cup is full. She is religious so scripture is welcome.

Kelsi's Writing Team - June 2026

Write to Kelsi.

Age: 20-something
Requested by: Co-Worker
Location: South Dakota, USA
Issue: Family

What’s going on? Kelsi is an amazing co worker and mom of three daughters from 3 years old to 12 years old. Her husband often travels for work, which means she runs the house, does all the mom things and works hard in the office. Often, she gets pulled away from work for unforseen issues. Her teenager daughter is also going through mental health issues and Kelsi is navigating that and bullying. She is such a hard worker, a supportive mom - it is hard to see her when she is overwhelmed and hanging on by a thread some days. I would love for her to get support from other mom's, aunt's, grandma's in similar situations to help her find the beauty in the chaos, the love in the insanity and the importance of her role.

What do you love most about this girl? She is a hard worker, an extremely dedicated Mom of her daughters and all of their activities. She is very respectful, empathetic, kind, dry/sarcastic humor and put together. She was a teenager mom of her first at 15, and she/her husband have made a beautiful life together through hard work and dedication.

P.S. Any funny Mom humor is extremely welcomed!
