Stacy's Writing Team - March 18

Write to Stacy.

Age: 50-something
Requested by: Son’s Best Friend
Location: Wisconsin, USA
Issue: Grief

What’s going on? My best friend passed away suddenly and tragically in May 2024 at a very young age of 24. His mom is really struggling with the loss of her son. She’s struggling to make sense of her thoughts and feelings and how to manage everyday while feeling like nothing makes sense. Some days are hard and some days she can laugh but feels guilty for those moments. She’s feeling this gapping hole and just needs all the love and support!

What do you love most about this girl? She’s the most giving and loving human you will ever meet. So selfless and kind and compassionate. Would give the world for others around her always volunteering at school and church events, helping her friends and family, always attending her students events and making sure people around her feel loved. She goes out of her way to give and never asks for things in return and is so sweet and genuine and supportive.

Notes: Please don’t tell her how to grieve or that it was Gods plan and her son is better in heaven then here. Be empathetic to her situation and give love and care and be tender

Age: 60s + 70s
Requested by: Daughter
Location: Texas, USA
Issue: Grief

What’s going on? We lost my oldest brother a couple of years ago. The holidays are terrible for her as she is the one who found him dead. She just needs to feel a little extra love this year. It hurts so much to see her crying all the time at the holidays because Jerry isn't here anymore.

What do you love most about this girl? She puts her entire heart into taking care of everyone and is even raising her great granddaughter. She just started a worm farm (yes a worm farm!) And takes extra care of dad. His heart is only operating at 15% so she's constantly stressed but never shows it. She's pure beauty and strength.

Anything else? She's been my step mom since 1997. I couldn't have asked God for a better 2nd mom. Her and my dad got married after both of them lost their first spouses to heart attacks.

Age: 20-something
Requested by: Sister
Location: Scotland
Issue: Grieving/Loss

What’s going on? Our mom used to write for the letter project, but she also wrote letters to her family and friends. I started university back in 2020, and got letters every week or so from mum, even if I had been home that weekend. Unfortunately mother passed suddenly last year, and we’re both struggling a lot with grief. But my sister has been struggling more as she started university last year, and unlike me she doesn’t have mother to write to her.

What do you love most about this girl? My sister is an amazing person who never fails to make me smile. She loves to experiment with her hair - it’s been red, black, blonde, brown, and at times a mix of these! Shes a goth - I love her style. Chains, bats, rips, etc. last Christmas I made her a spiderweb jumper layover and she loved it. She’s a theatre nerd, and is currently studying English Literature with French. She’s an amazing cook and baker, I miss her food a lot. She’s also really funny and loves to tell jokes.
