Mariana's Writing Team - March 2026
/Write to Mariana.
Age: 30-something
Requested by: Friend
Location: Texas, USA
Issue: Grief
What’s going on? Mariana lost a very close friend of hers, Allie, to suicide on Jan 2 and is struggling with extreme grief. She is feeling the guilt of worrying about not being a better friend (even though she is a wonderful friend). Mariana has expressed feeling heartbroken and was spending a lot of time with Allie; so much that this loss comes as an extreme shock as there were no warning signs and they had numerous business and travel plans together. I have known Mariana over 10 years and I have never seen my friend with such feelings of loss, low self confidence, questioning herself and the world around her. Allie was a lover of hand-written letters and I thought this would be a good way to bring her back to the loving part of life; where even strangers hold you tenderly in their hearts.
What do you love most about this girl? Mariana is one of the most responsible people I know and always tries to guide me in the right direction in life. She has always been a confident person her best qualities stem from that security in herself. She is an artist making beautiful paper mache pieces that bring beauty to the world and she watches over her loved ones like a hawk.
She is known for being a fashionista and while her love of vintage fashion is a triggering thing right now due to her business negotiations with Allie and their shared love of vintage- I hope that one day she can look at her wardrobe with passion again instead of grief. She’s adventurous and fun and very light hearted and happy individual who enjoys the finer things in life and has a delicate and refined taste in art, music, food, and beyond. She has a 70s style persona to her and has hopes of adopting a little cat or dog. She views the world with child-like wonder while being a powerhouse of a person.
