You can access all templates in the Writers’ Portal under ‘The Nitty Gritty’ section. To access the Writers’ Portal, use the password you received when you were accepted into our The Letter Project community.
Follow us on social media and introduce your friends to The Letter Project.
We love connecting with our gals on social. You can find good examples of letters there, read testimonials from those who have been impacted by your thoughtful letters, and be uplifted…all at the same time! We’re available online at:
I Want to Do More!
Start a TLP Chapter in your City/School
We started on a college campus and have chapters of women and girls who are active letter writers, hosting Write Nights, and spreading kindness in communities nationwide. Learn more about this opportunity here.
NEAR KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI? Be a Reader for The Letter Project.
Come on over to TLP HQ near Kansas City, MO (just south of Lee’s Summit!) to help us read, bundle and sort letters. You can come as frequently as you'd like (or even just once). Email our Executive Director Holly if you’re interested in supporting us in-person.
Host a Write Night for The Letter Project
Help us attack our open Letter Requests by hosting a “Write Night,” a gathering of more than 3 females joining together for fellowship and writing. Grab friends to share coffee, wine, or snacks while you write letters.
Become a TLP Ambassador
Our Ambassador Community is our most dedicated, encouraging, and active letter writers who commit to meeting fundraising benchmarks, hosting Write Nights, and frequently writing letters. We will reopen this opportunity in January as a revamped experience for even more letter writers.
Put Your ~ Social Media Skills ~ To Work!
We always love sharing your letters and videos about your The Letter Project experience on our socials. User-generated content (i.e. things from y’all!) is our favorite thing to post. Email Holly or send us a DM on social with your content to be shared. Tag our profile and #TheLetterProject if you’re open to us sharing and tagging you.
If you are an influencer or have a large social media following, sharing our organization is HUGE for us.

I’m Hosting a Write Night - Help!
Hey, hey, hey! We love our in-person and virtual Write Nights. If you’re open to having your Write Night available to our entire community, shoot us a message and we’ll add it to the website calendar.
If the Write Night is also a fundraiser for TLP, we can work with you to create a landing page on our website similar to this.
The Letter Project is happy to send a representative, based on availability to speak to your Write Night. Send us an email if you’re wanting a speaker/facilitator!
BEST PRACTICES
We recommend selecting 1 letter recipients per 5 people in attendance at your Write Night, and having printouts available of our Templates / Sample Letters (in Writers’ Portal) for your attendees.

Virtual Write Nights are just as impactful as in-person experiences! You can connect with a wider spread of individuals and it can sometimes be easier for folks to join. Here is a slide template deck that you can use to facilitate your Write Night.

Host an Instagram and/or Facebook Donation Campaign for The Letter Project
You can do this for Day of the Girl, for your birthday, in honor of a loved one, with an organization, etc., and it’s so easy! All donations come directly to TLP and it’s a great opportunity to share our cause with your network.
