About The Letter Project

We write letters to girls around the world who are in need of extra love and support. Our message is simple: we believe in you. We believe in the power of women supporting one another. We are rooting for you from all around the world.

Our May Goals:

1. Welcome 100 new writers to our cause.

2. Reach 10k followers on Instagram to enable the swipe-up feature and expand our mission.

How to Participate:

We believe that all acts of generosity help shape the world we want to live in. Every single act of generosity counts and we encourage you to be creative! Pick an issue and give back in any way that's meaningful to you. Here are some ideas: 

●      Create content that inspires and helps your followers to support The Letter Project or post our ready-made content. See below for inspiration and assets you can use.

●      Run a fundraiser for us using Instagram Stickers or Facebook’s fundraising tools.

●      Go live on Instagram and collect donations.

●      Match your followers’ donations to our organization.

●      Add our link to your bio!

Social Media Direction + Content:

Here are some ideas for what to post on your channels to help get your followers and communities excited and inspired to support The Letter Project this month. We also encourage you to create your own content and tell your The Letter Project story. What inspired you to join our campaign? What resonates with you about The Letter Project?

In the past, influencers have enjoyed signing up to be a writer (which you can do here) and then telling their followers what it was like to volunteer. It’s a powerful experience that only takes 15 minutes and has such a huge impact.

• I’m joining forces with The Letter Project. [Share a bit about why our mission matters to you and how you’ll be giving - this could be a financial give, or it could be that you’re going to sign up to write a letter, or simply share with friends and family!].

• The Letter Project writes personalized, handwritten letters of encouragement to girls and women going through hard times. Every recipient receives a gorgeous bundle of 20 letters written just to her from all around the world. No problem is too big or too small to send a little handwritten love your way.

Offline

• Sending and receiving mail is the best, and we can’t wait to have you join us! Whether it is for TLP or not, share your love of snail mail with a friend. Purchase a card from a local shop or empower a stranger alongside us.
