Open Call for Board of Directors

This open call for director nominations seeks to grow our Board with energetic women---new to The Letter Project and long-time volunteers---who will further our mission. • Host two Write Nights a year (virtual or in-person)

  • $1000 donation (direct or in-kind) — OR — 25 volunteer hours to the organization on an annual basis — OR — a combination of financial and time donation

Who You Are:

What You'll Do:

You will help lead our organization and support our efforts to send more letters to more women and girls with more letter writers. We are in an era of organizational growth and need a volunteer board to guide, support, and encourage the next steps!

Anything else?

You can work anywhere, anytime. This is an empowering opportunity to team up with 10-14 other committed leaders to elevate our work encouraging women and girls everywhere. 90% of the work of The Letter Project is done remotely! If you are located in/near Kansas or Missouri, there are many opportunities to support the executive director in person with events, letter bundling, and marketing. If you are located elsewhere in the United States and/or near other Board members, there are in-person opportunities for hosting events or meetings at your discretion.

Please note we are a faith-based organization and review our mission as you consider applying. To apply, please send a cover letter and resumé, and complete an application here.
